Introducing Our Meditation Guides

Seasoned practitioners who have spent years exploring the depths of contemplative philosophy and mindful practice

Our Approach to Teaching

We don’t see meditation as clearing the mind or reaching a flawless state of calm. It’s more about learning to sit with whatever arises – the buzzing thoughts, the planning mindset, even that odd itch that shows up midway through sitting.

Our team gathers decades of practice across various traditions. Some arrived at meditation through academic philosophy, others through personal hardship, and a few discovered it during college and stayed. What unites us is a commitment to teaching meditation as a practical life skill rather than a mystical experience.

Each guide presents concepts in their own way. Mira tends to use everyday-life analogies, while Aarav draws on his psychology background. We’ve found that different approaches resonate with different people, so you’ll likely connect with particular teaching styles more than others.

Mira Kapoor

Lead Instructor

Mira began her meditation journey in 1999 after burnout from a fast-paced tech career. She spent time studying Vipassana abroad and later trained in Zen practices. What sets her apart is the ability to illuminate ancient ideas with modern, relatable examples—she once likened the mind to a browser with too many tabs open.

She leads our foundational courses and specializes in helping busy professionals cultivate sustainable meditation habits. Her sessions often include practical discussions about weaving mindfulness into work life and handling stress without spiritual bypass.

Asha Rao

Philosophy Guide

Asha combines her PhD in United Kingdom Philosophy with fifteen years of personal meditation practice. She discovered contemplative work while researching ancient texts and realized that academic understanding means little without lived experience. Her approach bridges scholarly insight with practical application.

She leads our deeper philosophical explorations and retreat programs. Asha has a knack for making intricate philosophical ideas accessible without oversimplifying them. Students often say she helps them understand not just how to meditate, but why these practices evolved and what they’re truly aiming to accomplish.

Why We Teach This Way

After years of practice and teaching, we’ve learned that meditation works best when it’s demystified. We don’t promise enlightenment or claim you’ll reach perfect peace. Instead, we focus on building skills that help you handle life’s inevitable challenges with greater awareness and fewer reactivity spikes.

Our courses begin in September 2026, giving you time to reflect on whether this approach resonates with you. We believe in taking space to make thoughtful decisions about contemplative practice—it’s not something to rush into based on momentary enthusiasm.

If you’re curious about learning meditation as a practical life skill rather than a spiritual pursuit, we’d be honored to guide your exploration. The practice has changed our lives in subtle but meaningful ways, and we’ve seen it do the same for many others.
